Our story

Born in Warsaw, educated in French schools, Magda began her career as a journalist and quickly became part of the rising creative generation in Poland. Working for TV, Elite Model Look contest and with the press, she soon moved to the PR industry where she partnered with fashion designers for runway shows and developed an eye for accessories and jewelry, her passion.

Unable to find anything unique, she developed her own jewelry with personal engravings for her loved ones as a hobby and received increasing requests from her friends, family and even strangers.

LILOU – a boho French name embodying effortless style – was born.

The concept allowing Signature pieces with unique charms to be engraved includes bracelets, statement earrings, stackable rings and sophisticated handbags at affordable prices. LILOU is about collecting beautiful moments. Celebrities and a growing fan base have contributed to the development and the reputation of the brand.

LILOU opened its first flagship in Warsaw in 2009 and in Paris on boulevard Saint Germain in 2012. The sophisticated stores are unique to each location and include an embedded atelier allowing immediate hand engraving of signature pieces.

In 2009 Magda was recognized as one of the most talented business woman of the year by Glamour Magazine and received the Woman of The Year award.

The brand has expanded to over 40 stores with the latest openings in Germany in Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Cologne and most recently in Prague in 2018 (Czech Republic)

LILOU’s philosophy includes social responsibility and helping people in need. The brand cooperates with the Beautiful Angels Association and together have completed 30 successful house and room renovations for children from families living in poverty

LILOU raises funds with the DKMS Poland Foundation for potential bone marrow donors testing. The brand has supported the annual DKMS Gala in New York and is actively participating to the annual donations.

Married to a French entrepreneur and businessman, Magda and Yves are parents to 3 boys, live between Warsaw and Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and travel extensively for their business and as part of a globetrotter family.
